The #1 gotcha with the ever-famous Steel Breech Kit is that it doesn't come with a rear sight and most of the ones that are compatible are expensive.

A fresh Alliance Hobby solution is the Shaved Steel Breech.

By knocking off some of the dovetails, you can install the rear sight that is on your plastic breech right now.

Note that there is interference with the bolt cover and the rear sight blade.
NEW! No more interference. You can now order the "buttonless" (flush) bolt cover for a cleaner solution.

If you elect to use YOUR rear sight, or don't buy the Complete Kit below you're either going to have to

• exclude the bolt cover from installation OR
• cut the sight blade in half, as shown in my photos below OR
